ABOUT D&T ELECTRICAL
D&T Electrical, sparked from an idea which developed from a demand from D&T Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in relation to the constant need for electrical expertise within the refrigeration and air conditioning sector. It was the belief of the team that quality, reliability, cost, and sub-contractor management were major contributing factors that gave cause for the birth of the D&T Electrical division. The vision was set!
D&T Electrical was born in July 2021, with the aim of providing fast, efficient, and quality service to the commercial retail, supermarket, and fuel sector. The electrical division is made up of a group of experienced and proficient individuals from two separate entities, D&T Refrigeration & Collet Electrical. D&T Refrigeration having been established in 2006 has grown into a reliable, fast, efficient, and effective company with a trusted, long term clientele. Collet Electrical was created in 2015, and quickly grew to a team of four technicians with a high focus on providing precision electrical services to the commercial sector for D&T Refrigeration, as well as their own clientele.
For several years, Collet Electrical had provided expert services to D&T Refrigeration and saw the opportunity for a collaboration. Combining each company’s clients, thus leveraging and fast tracking the growth of the business as well as creating an expansive business model coherent and accomplished at delivering the company’s unrivalled goals and objectives.
The marriage of the two companies not only significantly increases the core capability within the refrigeration/air conditioning industry but also provides additional offerings of light, power, data, solar, EV and specialist electrical efficacy. D&T Electricals’ vision is to provide a distinguished offering to our existing and new clients in the commercial retail sector in which we operate.

MEET THE TEAM
Tim
Tim embarked on his journey into the Electrical Service’s industry in 2004 commencing his apprenticeship with a trusted commercial electrical company. During this time with this firm Tim was exposed to a wide variety of electrical light, power, data, and automation skills within the light to medium commercial sector.
After completing his apprenticeship with high distinction Tim decided to take some time off to travel the world in search of life experience. Tim started his journey to the Americas and Southeast Asia where he undertook humanitarian volunteer work. This laid solid foundation for Tim to return home with a vision of what professional direction he wanted to take to further develop himself in his professional and personal life.
Upon Tim’s return his immediately commenced work with a well-known Electrical firm with a high focus on general electrical and communications. Tim quickly progressed to a senior member within the company leadership structure due to his inter-personal and project management skills.
In 2015, the time came for Tim to start out on his own founding Collet Electrical commencing with just himself. Collet’s success came quickly and grew to five employees delivering services across multi-facets within the electrical services sector.
Tim, having successfully built a thriving company, his thirst for future growth and success lead him to be a founding member of the D&T Electrical company. Tim’s passion for delivering high standards, building strong working relationships and problem-solving skills is the driving force behind this movement. Furthermore, aligns his values around sustainability, waste management and recycling.
In his personal life Tim enjoys the freedom of the outdoors, often camping, fishing, surfing, and travelling with his family. Tim also has a fanatical appreciation for classic cars.

Michael
Michael has over 7 years’ experience in the Electrical Services Industry servicing a vast range of clientele. Commencing his apprenticeship in 2014, Michael joined a cutting edge Electrical Contracting firm that speacialised in light & power, data, building automation and mechanical/ electrical. Michael soon became an integral part of the team excelling with his on-the-job experience running significant projects in the commercial and architectural sector.
In 2020, Michael was head hunted to come onboard with Collet Electrical as their General Manager of Operations. This enabled Michael to showcase his skills in business management, commercial facilities management, and client relations.
Prior to starting his Electrical apprenticeship Michael undertook a Degree in Environmental Science, graduating with Honours. Working as an Environmental consultant for a period in planning and construction, proved invaluable experience that has been transferrable to his current role.
Michael has a passion for applying sustainability practises within the electrical and building services field in which he currently operates.
He believes developing, building, and maintaining strong relationships is key to delivering projects on time, on budget and to the quality expected by internal/ external stakeholders. Michael prides himself on possessing excellent communication, time management and project planning skills which enables a smooth transition from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
In his spare time, Michael loves spending time with his young family, exploring the great outdoors, fishing, hiking and mountain bike riding.
